Yesterday we did Annie 50/40/30/20/10 Double Unders and Situps. I looked at my last time, and it was 26 minutes and some odd seconds. I looked at a time I had when I substituted 1/2 the number of burpees for Double unders and I was only at 25 minutes....isn't that odd??
Double unders are a challenge, and last time I did this one I ended up with whip marks up and down my arms, I've succeeded once in getting 5 without stopping. This time, I actually did pretty good. I got 5 in a row a couple times. When I say in a row, it's actually - single, single, DU, single, DU, single, DU....and so on. Only stringing together 5 max can make for a long time to complete 50. I actually ended up finishing in 18:13. Jumpin' Jehosephat!! I managed to take 8 minutes off my time???
Today was Fran - 21/15/9 - 65# Thrusters, pullups. I woke up today thinking that the fight was over, and this cold had probably won. Very thick throat. ...and to top it off, I was working out at 8am on a Saturday. That is freakin' early!! Somehow I managed to get through this and knock off two minutes. I completed it in 6 minutes and I have no idea how many seconds. But 2 minutes faster than last time!! Actually the thrusters were no problem for me - I didn't do all 21 in a row, but I got to 15 before pausing, which I think is the most I've done in a row. Pullups were still on the low bar red bands. As good as my time sounds, I still feel it's completely misleading because they aren't real pullups. So - overall nice Fran time, but not really brag worthy. That's it, I guess I'm not overly creative today.
